The SNG (Sunrise NETWORKING Group) originated in Troy on June 13, 2002. The SNG is as a loosely knit group of type-A professionals who want to attract business by building relationships through NETWORKING with other type-A professionals. We now have many locations for business people to attend, and we are expanding rapidly.
It costs $40 per month to be a member of the SNG, and the (2) monthly breakfasts are included. You are listed on the Website Directory for FREE, and on the Membership List distributed at the breakfasts. Our members like to do business with people in the SNG, so members benefit by getting leads even when they don’t show up.
There are few rules – show up to the breakfasts, and pay your bill. Desire and expectations rule the organization. Each SNG meets for breakfast just twice a month from 7:30-8:45am. We have our own private buffet breakfast room at each location . . . what a great way to start your day!
We normally allow only one of each type of business (unless there is some variation – i.e., restaurants, auto dealers, etc.), even though there may be a little bit of overlap in products or services.
Everyone is given time to talk about his or her business. We are all connected by email, so time at the meeting isn’t taken up exchanging leads (no mandatory requirement for leads, we prefer warm leads only). However, after the breakfasts, you can still find people hanging around talking business and exchanging leads.
We understand that networking has two parts; one, getting leads; and, the most important part is the need for a person to GIVE leads . . . first! Networking with the SNG means that each of our members is expected to attend the twice a month breakfasts. We understand that . . . occasionally . . . things may come up, and we feel we have been pretty good about dealing with those issues when they have occurred.
The meetings have generated so much business among the members . . . you will have to experience it to believe it! The emails just seem to be flying back and forth. The object of the SNG is, to conduct informal NETWORKING meetings to stimulate business while having fun! Networking designed to move your business! Great people, great companies, great breakfasts . . . the SNG!

NOTE: ONLY ONE “NETWORKING” GROUP
There are groups which people belong to such as the Kiwanis, Lions, Chamber of Commerce, etc., and then there are the strictly-for-networking groups, such as the SNG, LBN, or BNI networking groups.
Many of our members belong to service organizations similar to the ones mentioned above. However, one of the few unwritten rules we have is we DO NOT want anyone involved with the SNG and a second, strictly-for-networking, group. It defeats the purpose of having the SNG limited to only one of each type of business (even though there is some overlap in services in some cases).
If you belong to another, strictly-for-networking, group, it is perfectly all right to come to a breakfast meeting to check us out . . . it will only cost you $40.00 per month. After the meeting, decide which group you want to be a part of.
